James Artissen - Goldmine (feat. J. Holiday)

 


"Goldmine"—a Rhythm and Blues ballad that incorporates slow oscillating keys, the crispy downbeat of the drums, and a sequence of lush harmonic uprises that intertwine over the top line hook— features strewed persuading vocals that revive the mirth and allure of being love-struck, or bound to another sentimentally. J. Holiday and James Artissen are plain-spoken, complete and enamoring, singing solo on their respective stanzas, and only stepping back for the purposes of filling the backdrops of the next verse with more affecting vocal swells; it's like a trade-off between two trumpeting melodists experienced in the language of love and gratitude.

  James Artissen has been described as one of the most creative & diverse musicians in the music industry. James broke the news via social media after fans requested a release date from the previous singles he released. “My EP is called Blu Leisure,” James said. “This project is my debut to the world but I also feel like Im giving the most creative work i’ve ever done”. James revealed that the inspiration behind creating this EP came from being fans of Frank Ocean, The Weeknd & Kanye West. Their sound & genre creativity inspired him to venture into different genres of music and expand his musical horizons. The Sophomore EP "Kaleidoscopes" by James Artissen

  James Artissen releases his new soulful R&B sound to fans with the release of his long-awaited 2nd EP, Kaleidoscopes. The forthcoming record is a follow-up from his 2019 debut EP “Blu Leisure”. This new body of work was released on January 17, 2020, and is available on all digital platforms. Along with the EP announcement, James has interesting collaborations on the project which include artists such as: Ray Lavender, Ruff Endz, Drag-On, and Truth Hurts. James recorded most of Kaleidoscopes in his studio in Atlanta, GA with engineer Styalistic. Artissen has worked with producers Styalistic, Shay Mizz, and Frisktrackz on this project. Kaleidoscopes is composed of 7 tracks that according to James “Spent Months crafting, recreating, and analyzing” to bring out the best product.
